Course Description: Study of the design, planning and operations and control of manufacturing processes, material management, inventory quality control systems, work measurement and production standards. Pre-requisites: MA120, FI360, MG352 or equivalents. 3:0:3
Educational Philosophy: The instructor's educational philosophy is one of interactiveness based on lectures, readings, quizzes, dialogues, examinations, internet, videos, web sites and writings. The instructor will engage each learner in what is referred to as disputatious learning to encourage the lively exploration of ideas, issues, and contradictions

5. Define the term service in relation to operations management.

Course Assessment: Two tests, a midterm and final and a term paper are required of all students.
Grading: Each test is weighted 33 1/3% and the paper is weighted 33 1/3%.
Late Submission of Course Materials: All work must be completed on or before 7 October 2005
Classroom Rules of Conduct: Students will be encouraged to raise questions and make comments during class discussions.

Plagiarism:Plagiarism involves the use of quotations without quotation marks, the use of quotations without indication of the source, the use of another's idea without acknowledging the source, the submission of a paper, laboratory report, project, or class assignment (any portion of such) prepared by another person, or incorrect paraphrasing.
