The instructor's educational philosophy is one of interaction based on lectures, readings, examinations, discussion threads, and the internet. The instructor will use a balance of inquisitory ( having the students find examples or general information) and expository (explicitly giving examples and general information) approaches. Examples are representations of real life, such as case studies, models, scenarios, etc. While general information are principles, concepts, relationships between pieces of information, etc.

Class assessment will consist of weekly homework assignments, participation in discussion threads, and a final exam.
Weekly assignments will be worth 100 points each, participation in discussion threads will be worth 10 points each week, and final exam will be worth 205 points.
All final exams will be comprehensive and will be closed book and closed notes. If calculators are allowed, they will not be multifunctional electronic devices that include features such as: phones, cameras, instant messaging, pagers, and so forth. Electronic Computers will not be allowed on final exams unless an exception is made by the Associate Dean.
The Proctored final exam for online courses must be passed with a grade of 60% or higher in order to pass the course regardless of the overall average. The grade for students who pass the proctored final will be based on the overall average of homework and tests taken during the course. The proctored final exam must address only material which the student has been taught in class.
Classroom Rules of Conduct:
Classroom rules of conduct include a respect for fellow students. This stems from an understanding that there will be a diverse group of students in this course with various backgrounds, ethnicity, and culture. Instructor will monitor for any behavior that is inappropriate and does not allow for conducive learning.
Assignments and due dates will be posted throughout the term by the instructor.

Plagiarism:Plagiarism involves the use of quotations without quotation marks, the use of quotations without indication of the source, the use of another's idea without acknowledging the source, the submission of a paper, laboratory report, project, or class assignment (any portion of such) prepared by another person, or incorrect paraphrasing.
