The instructor's education philosophy utilizes a variety of methods (i.e., reading, lectures, discussion, interactions, role playing, group exercises, review of current research, writing, presentations, examinations) to facilitate understanding of human behavior and motivation; mental health, pathology, and process of change; individual and cultural diversity; major psychological concepts; and the development of critical thinking.

Late Submission of Course Materials: Assignments are due at the beginning of the class period on the date given in the syllabus. Homework assignments will not be accepted late. 10 points will be deducted from the core assessment for every calendar day it is late. No points will be awarded if it is late by more than 5 calendar days. The presentation must be presented on the date assigned.
Classroom Rules of Conduct: Class participation is expected and attendance will be taken for each class. Students are expected to interact with each other and instructor with respect and proper decorum. Classes missed for legitimate reasons such as TDY, personal/medical emergencies are excusable but students will need to coordinate absence wth the insturctor as soon as possible. Class participation points will be lost for excused as well as unexcused absences.
Academic Honesty:Academic integrity is the foundation of the academic community. Because each student has the primary responsibility for being academically honest, students are advised to read and understand all sections of this policy relating to standards of conduct and academic life. Plagiarism:Plagiarism involves the use of quotations without quotation marks, the use of quotations without indication of the source, the use of another's idea without acknowledging the source, the submission of a paper, laboratory report, project, or class assignment (any portion of such) prepared by another person, or incorrect paraphrasing.
