The instructor believes that students are best able to achieve their learning goals in a secure environment. Mutual respect and cooperation are therefore essential at all times in the classroom. The instructor’s ultimate goal is to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge so that they may take control of and direct their own learning.

Late Submission of Course Materials:
Late work will be accepted up to one week after the assignment is due. Note that assignments submitted late will lose one letter grade; for example, an 'A' becomes a 'B', etc. If a student is ill (with a doctor's note) or there are other extraordinary circumstances, no grade deduction will take place.

Plagiarism:Plagiarism involves the use of quotations without quotation marks, the use of quotations without indication of the source, the use of another's idea without acknowledging the source, the submission of a paper, laboratory report, project, or class assignment (any portion of such) prepared by another person, or incorrect paraphrasing.
