Educational Philosophy: My educational philosophy is one that requires the efforts of the instructor as the facilitator of the material and the efforts of the student who is the receiver and learner of the material. As the instructor my responsibility is to teach the students to the best of my ability. I will try to explain the material in a clear and concise manner while trying to add relevancy of mathematics to the learners life.
Your performance will be accessed by completing five exams.
Grading: Letter Grade Range
Below 60% F
Late Submission of Course Materials: If a student misses an exam s/he will be allowed to make up the exam. I will not ask for an excuse, but the make up exam may be longer and more difficult. It is the responsibility of the student to inform the instructor of the missed exam and to make arrangements to take the exam.
Classroom Rules of Conduct: Students are expected to have read the sections being covered before class and students are expected to participate in class lectures. If a student misses a class it is the student's responsibility to receive the notes from a peer.
